Unveil The Shower Ritual As The Transition Of Your Day
Product Used: Active Daily Concentrate
Waking up early — at least 45 minutes before showering is key! It’s time to begin your body movement/exercise/yoga and meditation to boost your metabolism. Then after, nourish your body with your favorite wholesome foods.
Showering or bathing is a wonderful time to wind down before bed. In this case, avoid doing it too soon after a meal. Wait 2 hours, if you can, to give your digestion the time and conditions to do its work.
1. SET THE MOOD
Fire up your preferred aromatherapy reed/diffuser with your favorite essential oil. Remember the importance of using pure essential oils, and avoid synthetic aromas. Our sense of smell is linked to memory, mood and emotion. Inhalation of aroma can immediately shift and transform your state of mind.
2. PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Start the ritual by taking a minute to express gratitude for your life’s positive aspects. Present awareness is a powerful tool to lift the spirit and open the path for new and better things to come your way.
3. EXFOLIATE
Light Dry Brushing is a great way to stimulate blood flow. Brush towards your heart. Start at your feet and brush in circles clockwise, moving up. Avoid brushing the following:
- any open cuts
- healing wounds
- skin conditions. If you prefer an alternative to the brush, use your favorite body scrub, glove, or loofa in the shower in the same way. Pay extra attention to the areas behind your knees and in your armpits since these areas have a lot of lymph nodes to further assist in lymphatic stimulation.
- It boosts circulation and lymphatic drainage and is responsible for filtering and destroying bacteria, toxins, and wastes.
- It increases cell turnover.
- It helps to stimulate collagen synthesis to improve the skin’s texture.
- It allows skincare products to penetrate deeper.
4. RINSE
Lukewarm water will deliver the best results. Cooler showers can awaken the body, increase mental alertness, and improve the overall hydration of the hair and skin.
5. HAIRWASHING
(When applicable) Recommended every third day with cooler water to maintain the natural production of oils in your scalp, avoiding turning into oily hair.
6. CLEANSING
Morning/evening using natural products — avoid synthetic scents and formulas that strip the body’s natural oils. They might smell amazing but aren’t great for the body, skin or the environment.
7. ACTIVATE
Boost your mental alertness, cardiovascular & lymphatic activity, and liver function, and improve overall muscle tone by rinsing with cold water.
